The Malay Mail BIG Walk!

Wow. Just came home from a hot and tiring day.

Today, I woke up at 5 to get ready for the Malay Mail Big Walk.
I had no idea it would turn out like this!! Hehe...

Yingxu ended up getting 51, I got 53 and Christine got 59!
What an achievement! Sadly, prizes (medals actually!!) were only given out to the first 50!! NO... How dissapointing!! We were SOOOOO close! Should have walked faster! Darn! If only we knew how close we were... Then, we might have sped up! I mean... we weren't aiming to win right, so we walked fast, but not THAT fast. We just wanted to walk faster than the last time!!
*sob* the medal was so shinny and the picture on it was Cuuute!! I wonder if i can still put in down in my resume though... Hmm...

Anyway, luckily we stayed a while(2 - 3 hours...) after the race. We were actually hoping some people might get disqualified.. Heh heh.. What? There's nothing wrong with hoping...
We each got a temporary tattoo that screamed

Haha.. Yea, got it on my right arm. Hopefully I'll be able to scratch it out later.. There's school tomorrow! We're not allowed to have tattoos, are we? Eventhough it IS temporary.. Plus it's free advertising for The Malay Mail... (Just realised that... Imagine how many people are walking around with the tattoo?)

Later, while we were waiting for Christine's dad to pick us up, we went to get free drinks. We were happily drinking "Yakut"(that's the brand of the drink) when Chris suddenly ran up to Yingxu and tugged at her number.
"Yingxu! It's your number!" She screamed.
"What?"
"Your number! Lucky draw!"

It was then that we heard the lady announcing the lucky draw number.

"Nombor dua enam satu empat. Two six one four. 2614."

Yingxu ran down hurriedly. Luckily we were pretty near the stage. She was probably still unable to believe it was happening because she didn't run up the stage immediately. When the lady saw her, she(the lady) started screaming:" 2614!! 2614!! Yes! Come up!! 2614!!!" While pointing towards Yingxu. Then, screams from unknown fans. Haha... Plus screams from me!

She won a CD stereo system! Which costs about RM1000!! (or so we were told) WOW!! How lucky can you get??

We weren't expecting anything! WOW! Now I know why people actually stay for the lucky draw. You can actually WIN! It was SO heavy. Luckily Clarence was there to help when Christine's parents came. Thank you!

Wow. Unbelievable. No medal for getting 51, but she wins a CD stereo system. Wow. RM1000.

Hmm... They told us about this one girl who went in with them... Funny.
Said she was acting SO cool when two of them were like soh pohs. hehe.. Jean said she was a little(actually, i think quite a bit more) irritated by her. Haha... Evil thoughts ran through her head... Horr... (like purposely accidentally kicking her...) Heh heh... Oh well...

Going in for exam with Alien and one more girl in another class... (one of the twins) Don't know who that last girl is... Hehe... We're suppose to be enemies on that day. HAHA! (teacher said so.. lala~) Personally, I'd prefer if I went in with people I don't really know.. coz umm... I won't ever see them again! EVER!! hehe... I don't know.. Maybe going in with friends isn't that bad? We'll have to see.. This is my first time doing it for a major exam.. :p

Ballet exam!

Well, well, guess what? My ballet exam's coming! Yup!
It'll be on the 5th of October. Can't wait! And yet, a little (only about 10-20%) dreading the moment.. Afraid I'll do badly!! No!!! I can't let that happen!! Haha..

Mousey just had her exam today! Lucky girl!!
Our examiner's name is Miss Moore. Hehe... But no, I pretty sure it's not Mandy Moore. Haha... Dream on! :) If it was, I'll be the first to run up and say:"Can I have your autograph? Sign on my SHOE!!" Or something like that.
Waiting for Mousey to tell her tale later during class... Hehe...

NUTZ's birthday today. Hehe.. Gave her a birthday present already, but I think I'll just give her one more... It doesn't cost me anything anyway, and I know she'll love it. Nyahaha... :)
Li Li's birthday TOMORROW! Oooo.... Don't worry. Got her something, eventhough I don't usually get people presents... (so don't expect any presents from me when your birhtday comes! There won't be any form ME!!!)

Stomp brings the house down

KUALA LUMPUR: Wake the neighbourhood up! The award-winning West End musical Stomp came roaring off the blocks at the Istana Budaya here last night.

The premiere show attracted a sold-out audience, signalling an explosive start for its daily shows here that ends on Sept 25.

Awe and amazement were on the faces of the 1,300-strong crowd that lapped up the spontaneity, fun and excitement derived from Stomp’s non-stop one-hour and 45-minute performance.

Last night's show was performed before a star-studded audience.


Spotted in the crowd were celebrities like Reshmonu, Hans Isaac, Elaine Daly, Lina Teoh, Paula Malai Ali, Ida Nerina and Shamser Sidhu.

Paula was thrilled to catch the show here.

“I saw it in New York six years ago and it blew my mind away. This time around, I want to see what they have in store for Malaysians. I’m really excited to be here tonight,” she said.

Teoh, who had studied dance in Melbourne, was enticed by the dance movements.

After a spontaneous standing ovation at the end, the crowd filed out clearly still high from the excitement of the night.

Reshmonu said he thoroughly enjoyed the show.

“It was great. I loved it. I only wish that they'd ended it with a bang. You could see that the audience wanted more,” he said.

M. Sunnil 23, a software consultant, was captivated by the performance, adding that he enjoyed the feet-tapping rapport the cast created with their audience.

“It was a great blend of rhythm, percussion and comedy. I love how they had the crowd stomping and clapping with them all the way. It was awesome,” he said.

Heart thumping, energetic, passionate and wild, Stomp will be in town for the next two weeks before heading down to Singapore.

Stomp’s Asian Tour is also special as it boasts an all-star cast handpicked from the show’s West End, Broadway and European productions.

The energetic show, renowned for its symphony of rhythmic percussion and movement and the use of everyday objects, is presented here by IMG Artists and MAS. The Star is the official media.

Anyway, on the way to ballet class, I saw an advert on a cab and... (giggles)
It read:

Is it just me, or is there something seriously wrong with the ad? (laughs)

The ad was followed by a phone number of course, for potential customers to call... before booking. HAHAHAHA!!!
