Bicentennial Man

Sat down in front of the tele and happened to turn to the channel showing this movie. First I read what it was about, okay, sounds interesting. Then, I saw Robin Williams... *click* Okay! Let's watch! Haha~

Mum started telling me about the story. I was surprised! (mum's usually the blur one during movies) So I asked her if she has watched it. She said she did. A looooooooong time ago, in the cinema. Whoa~! It didn't look like an old movie!

So I've just checked and it was out in 1999. Hmm... 7 years ago. That IS quite a while back isn't it?

Anyway, I enjoyed the movie, eventhough I only watched the very last part of it...
Dare I admit it, I cried. *pause* At the end. Yes I did. Haha... XD It's a really touching movie! You should try watching it.

So, I stayed home and what did I do?

Sleeping at 2am and waking up at 7 every morning for 4 days can really make a person tired. Heh heh... (Note: I didn't take afternoon naps. I know. Wow.)

I did wake up in time for driving lessons though. Yes, I'm STILL learning how to drive. Exam's on the 8th of May. Wish me luck!

Hmm... You know when people start driving they always scream about how fun and exciting it is? To be behind the steering wheel for once? I really don't see what the excitement is all about... Well, maybe only when I've mastered something. But that feeling is the same for anything right? Not just driving? Haha~~ oh well, I conclude that...I must be special! Weee~~~

Anyway, I did a presentation in class yesterday during futher math 2. My amazing fellow team mates were Soo Qi, Mun Yi, Wan Yie and Lilian. We were great! Haha~~ I'm so proud of us.

Let's see... We were to use what we've learnt and apply it in real life. Something like that. (oh yea, we're doing mechanics for further math 2) Okay, so the first group to present was Sing Kwan's group,(they presented on Monday) and theirs were pretty interesting. Haha! Dog murderers!!! Apparently Ji Yi has something against dogs.

Theirs went like this:
Two people are playing tennis, and one of them hits the ball, which hits a 97kg clock(HAHA! 97kg!!) which topples over and smashes this "stupid dog". So the big question was "WILL THE DOG DIE??" Yup. It did. Poor little dog. I mean, it would've been fine if the dog was a really vicious/dangerous and everyone hated it, but this dog was just stupid! Now what do you have against stupid dogs, right? Haha~~
Oh yea! The tennis court was frictionless!! *gasp* So I asked,

"If the tennis court is frictionless, wouldn't the guy fall down?"

I mean, if they can't even play tennis in the first place... haha~~ =P

Alarm clock rings but you NEVER get up?
Tadaa!!~~ We have the solution!!

(Yes, Wan Yie and I actually said that. Haha~ It was our opening. We have style. Sounds like a commercial doesn't it?)

So here's how it goes:
In the morning, your alarm clock rings and you get irritated. So you start kicking around and kick this ball at the foot of your bed, which rolls towards a block, which is attached to a sting. When the block topples it over, it pulls on the string, which is attached to a gun(Yes, we got to model our own gun! Weee~~ Haha!!), and triggers the gun, which fires a small ball, which flies towards a pail filled with water. The pail topples over to splash water on you and you wake up! Tadaa!!~~ Ingenious right? haha!!!

I had fun! You know how I'm afraid of speaking in public? I didn't feel uncomfortable this time! Wan Yie says it's because I knew what I was talking about. SO TRUE!! I've always knew that THAT was the reason why I didn't like talking in public and this proves it! Yeah!~ Felt great! (Either that or I'm okay with my classmates? haha~~)

Oh yea, and people were actually listening to us! (Hence the title of this post) Wow. We were very much surprised! In a good way of course. There was this point where we stopped explaining for a while and there was... pin drop silence. Oh, WOW. We stared at each other with the OH-MY-GOSH-THEY"RE-LISTENING look. HAHA!!~~
For a class that doesn't really listen in class, it's incredible to have them listening to us.

So yea, I'll post some pictures if I don't look too retarded in them. :)

Hmm... Soo Qi explains every detail. haha~ She keeps failing to find the right words though. Haha~ Silly girl.
Me? I just assume they know.(Well, they DO know! They've learnt it as well!)

I have a feeling I won't be a very good teacher since teachers have patience. XD If I've taught you anything before you'd know. I don't have much of that. (Sorry lil' sis. Haha..)

I use a lot of "blah" in my explaination. Well, I wasn't going to explain every line! Come on! They're just calculations! Haha~~

"Here we want to find the force to make the block topple. So we take moments about O and... *pauses and stares at board, thinking do I really have to explain this? Come on!* yea. So blah blah blah, and P is 0.65N."

Piao Ching exclaims "Li Ee you're so lazy."

Darn! Haha~ Well, can't say you're wrong though.

Anyway, that was fun. Hoping we'll get to do it again. The calculations were really really REALLY frustrating though! I mean, just imagine you've calculated quite a bit and then you suddenly realised you forgot to consider something and everything's wrong. OR you finish counting and there's something wrong with the answer. Haha~ Thanks a lot Lilian, Mun Yi, Wan Yie and Soo Qi for giving me more challenges than I expected!! haha~ (They kept coming up with things I didn't consider!) Wanted to pull my hair out. XD

You have no idea how many pages we used for the calculations. XD Well, not saying anything, but I did most of it. Heh heh... I'd stay up just to count. It's exciting! Haha~ The rest rather not. haha~!! I'm crazy.

Gosh. We worked backwards(exceptionally tough!!!) and then forwards again. Haha~ Thanks Soo Qi for taking care of the going forward part. Hehe...

And so the day ended with two groups jumping and hugging in victory and a little girl with dampened spirits. Haha~~

Well, *laughs* I honestly don't know what to say. We were basically, not good. Well, bad actually.
We were VEGETABLE. (well, if you watched 'I not stupid', you'd get it.)

Excuse me. Stupid lame line.

Anyway, it was a bigger space and a different stage.
Voice projection was lousy. *wince* I'm ALWAYS having that problem. Yen Tink said couldn't hear what we were saying. Opps! Haha~ So my guess is, the audience probably didn't know what was going on. Gosh. How horrible.

Ah well, at least we tried. ^^ And we were in the finals. Haha! That's something right?

Results:
Best performer went to THE CHICKEN MAN! Haha~ and
Best performance went to the same drama. (Not sure of their title)
Runner up for both categories went to Keadilan.
They deserved it. Especially the CHICKEN MAN. Haha~ He was hilarious!!!

Hehe... At least we had fun? :)

So today(10/4 actually) was the drama competition, it was the preliminary round. There were five teams today. There's going to be another I don't know how many teams again on Wednesday. Hopefully if we get to the finals, WHICH! I'm hoping so hard to get into... Oh please...please...*kneels down on floor dramatically* Please...!!! Haha...
Ahem. So anyway, final's on the 15th. Saturday.

Well, the day started off pretty much like this. We went to college quite early in the morning to practise... Haha... We were pretty much unprepared. We did go to Keat's house the day earlier, but we didn't accomplish much, cept maybe some ppl learning how to play the guitar. Har har.. (No, not me, I watched)

Anyway, so there we were, going over it again and again and again till we all got so tired. Seriously! We were yawning!! Alvin said it(our turn) was to be at 4.25pm, so I was thinking we had time to panic. By 3, I was getting the butterflies. BIG time. I was so nervous, I wanted to run away. Heck, Farah was like "Can we back out?"
"NO!" Alvin and I said. So I did say I wanted to run away, but I wasn't gonna! I just WANTED to. haha... Besides, I feel like that EVERYTIME. Normal.

We got to the Purple Box Theatre and OH GOSH! We're SECOND? WE"RE SECOND? NO! NO!!
Second means we were going on at 3.35pm. HOHOHO.... NO! *Panics even more* 'I'm so dead!' I scream in my head.

"shit shit shit shit shit shit shit!!!"
(Sorry, I tend to say things like 'shit' and 'bloody hell' when I'm nervous... Hehe...)

It was already 3.15pm!! OH MY GOSH! 20 minutes! And Keat wasn't even there yet. SHIT!!!!! (again, excuse me, I'm just trying to build up the scene. HAHA!!~~)
Then, Farah started running lines. Immediately, I felt tons better. TONS AND TONS better! WOW. It's probably 'coz I was concentrating on remembering the lines and not on panicking. Thanks Farah! Though you probably did that to calm down too... HAHA~~

Keat eventually arrives, then suddenly it's our turn.
SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!! (sorry.. *laughs sheepishly*)
Quickly, we arrange the set. I tell Alvin the placing and stuff and help as well. (Keeps mind off panicking. Again.)
Then, here we go! I probably looked calm to everyone else in the room, but really, I was nervous like shit. Haha~~ (sorry AGAIN. I'm just going to stop appologizing now..)

I fumbled a few times but basically it was okay. Haha~

THE AUDIENCED LAUGHED! HELL THAT WAS GOOD! REAL GOOD! THANKS AUDIENCE! I APPRECIATE YOU SO MUCH!!!! Yea. But they didn't laugh at some parts I was expecting them to. Ah well, at least they LAUGHED! At the RIGHT parts! YEA! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

Farah said she saw one judge pat the other judge when she said
"I'm not that desperate right? What am I talking about? DUH! I'm 28 for god's sake!"
Har har!! We wonder if HE"S 28... Heh heh...

Basically people laughed at Keat 'coz he's the loser. WAHAHA~~
They laughed like shit when Keat said
"Hell yea! You appeal to me!"
Then laughed like shit again when he said
"Okay... That didn't come out right..."

I CAN"T TELL YOU HOW HAPPY I AM!!!

So yea. Basically, felt great, though not sure about my own performance. Just happy about the whole script. YAY! (I know you're a little blur when I mentioned the lines coz you don't know the script, but bear with me okay? Haha... Ask me for the script or something.)

Anyway, after the rather happy exit, this guy (probably from the audience) came out and said something like "Hey! You guys were great!" And we're like "thanks. Haha..."
And then, he said "Who wrote the script?"
All hands point to me!(Well, I know Alvin's did.) HAHA! I raised my hand(I think).
He said he loved it, how it was and stuff. I was jumping over the moon!! Weeeeeeeeee!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~Happy like shit!!
Then he says "I hope you guys get in man! The finals! Good luck!"
"THANKS!"

Then, when we were debating on whether to leave or watch the other 3 teams, this girl from SPA(Society of Perfoming Arts - Oh yes, the competition IS by them)[yes, I recognise her] suddenly walked passed me and said "Oh, you guys were great!"
WOW. She actually remembers my face. WOW. THANKS! *Going crazy with happiness* [insert happy squeeking Li Ee here]

Haha...We decided to watch the other 3 in the end.
And after the last perfomance, the judges gave comments. (This is the part I get REALLY nervous!) Oh yea! Judges were Rashid Salleh, Gavin Yap and Edwin Sumun(if I'm not wrong...hehe..) WOOHOO~~ OH GOSH! Haha...

They were hilarious. :)

Anyway, they said they'd comment on ours together 'coz.... they all loved it! OH MY GOSH! THANK YOU! YES! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! GWAH!!! THANK YOU!!! Happy girl here. Haha... I was clapping like mad...!!! ^^ Said we used the time perfectly! THANK YOU AGAIN! And liked the little exchange between the girls and guys from different houses. (you probably don't get that. Haha... It's the confusing part of the script. I love that part. It was for fun. Hehe.. COOL!)

So yea. The bad part of the drama was the watching tv part. Haha.. We were looking at different spots. So the audiences were probably thinking... What are they looking at? Haha... I quote "The guy looked like he was daydreaming." HAHA!! HOHO Sze Keat!
I actually wanted to mention that, but I forgot... Opps... Ah well, if we get into the finals, (Oh please..) we'll work on that. Oh yea, and I think they mentioned something about not hearing the lines too well... That must've been me. Heh heh... Opps? ^^

Overall, Happy like shit. HAHA!!

Overall, I'm as happy as ever. SUCCESS doesn't taste better than this.

When we(sis and I) were going back, met Darell, Phang Kit and Alex. They were going to play FRISBEE! Darell was like "COME JOIN US!" Haha...

And we did. Though at first we thought it was going to rain, so we went to grab something to eat first. There were about 10 people there. Then, it didn't rain. GREAT! So we went out in the dark playing frisbee.

MY FIRST TIME EVER THROWING A FRISBEE! I"M SERIOUS! FIRST TIME EVER!!!!
I'm contented. I can actually throw the frisbeee! Haha~~ THANKS SIS, Darell and Tian Ping for teaching. ^^ Oh yea, and Sing Kwan too, for trying to teach a bit. Haha...
Later, they played a game. I didn't join in. Didn't really want to 'coz I'm worse than the worst! haha~

I love the rain.

I don't exactly know why, but I just do. I love all types of rain. A drizzle, a downpour, a thunder storm... I love them all.

I love staring at the rain. Wishing I was the rain, wishing I was free like it was.
I feel calm when I watch the rain. I feel away from the present; I feel like I've flown off to a far away land, into a fairytale, a fantasy, a dream.

When it drizzles, it almost seems like no one else exists. Just the rain and I. And yet, I wouldn't feel alone. It's as though the rain is everyone I ever need.
Sometimes, it is as though the rain is listening. Though I say nothing, it listens quietly, to the words unspoken.

When I watch the rain, I don't think. I just watch it fall, ever so gracefully down, embracing earth.

I wish I could run in the rain, dance in the rain, but I don't; not because I can't, but because I know I shouldn't. Why? I'm not exactly sure, but it's like an written rule.

One day soon perhaps, I will... embrace the rain like it does the earth.

Haha~~ So yea, I just came back from the police station.
I lost my IC.
We sat there for at least 10 minutes, being ignored (it seriously felt like we were invisible! I mean, he was sitting right in front of us! And yes, he was doing something, but he could've have just you know, say umm... "I'll be with you in a moment" or something...) before that IZ-something policeman *clicked* and saw us.
"Apa hal?" He asked.
Dad told him the problem.

Apparently, there is no need for police reports anymore when you loose your ic. You just need to make a new one. Wow. We waited for 10 minutes for that.

After a few minutes of getting lost in mv(no, we didn't get lost. Just wanted to say that. Hehe..), Xing Ji mentioned that The Manhattan Fish Market sold drinks for one buck. Well obviously, being the thrifty people that we are(haha..), we headed for exactly that restaurant. I shared a basket of fries with Flo and ordered Sprite. Didn't get any dollar drink 'coz I don't drink coffee!!

Sat there talking till I had to leave. :)
All in all, had a good time. ^^
