Of the many random things I have done
Know I haven't updated in absolutely forever. Second year has been pretty tiring and I can't believe we're entering week 8 on Monday! That's insane. Really.
Loads of things have happened in the past 2 months since I got to London. Random dinners, birthday dinners and housewarming parties, picnics, fireworks and a charity run, a trip to Bicester Village, a visit to Tower of London and the Malaysian Nottingham games... and of course, dancing. :) Not to forget, snow in London! That was quite an interesting sight!
Hmm.. living out of halls sure does make it more difficult to meet up with friends.. I miss living in halls. Haha..
Anyway, here's a poem I wrote about 2 days ago. :) One of the few poems I've written that isn't depressing or sadistic. Haha! I would say that in itself is an achievement, really. Let me know what you think! :) I need feedback!
When the world is still around me (20/11/08)
Stop. Wait. Listen.
To the heart beat that is mine;
Slow, calm, steady,
Beating along with time.
Paddling in still waters,
Causing ripples that never end;
Leaning back on my palms,
Feeling soil in my hand.
Crickets and whispering trees -
Music to my ears,
Moon shying away behind clouds,
Gone with my fears.
Footsteps in the distance,
I long to stay,
Quiet - in my hideout,
Until night turns to day.
