COOOOOL
Yesterday, went to watch MPO in KLCC with Xuxu, Flo, Darell and Shrek. They had the London Philharmonic Choir! Cool. They were AWESOME! LOVED it when they all sang together!! It's not my first time there, so I wasn't exactly BLOWN away by the hall. Did however 'flew away' the first time I entered that ever so grand hall.
Anyway, as Caleb said in his blog (go read it!), it's usually pin drop silence when the orchestra is playing. Duh. haha... I didn't dare move! Literally! Well, I did move a little, and hope I didn't distroy the music for anyone...
The choir = WOW!
I like the string section, the way all their bow move in unison. Up, down, up, down. Florence likes the woodwind section.(I like the flute too)
Oh, we had Nando's for dinner!(before the concert) I'm NEVER(okay, maybe not never, just not till I get my guts back) going to get "hot peri-peri" again!!! Flo and I shared one dish. Thanks to Darell, we ordered "Hot peri-peri". We wanted to order "Mild peri-peri", but Darell went all,
Darell herself had the "Extra Hot peri-peri" and Yingxu got the same as Flo and I.
Yingxu...crazy gal. She kept pouring that Chili thing on her chicken and side dishes... she was practically crying but that didn't stop her... said she liked that feeling(whatever that feeling is... Suffering from burning tongue?!?)
Flo was okay with the "Hot peri-peri". Wow. I, on the other hand have never been good at eating spicy food, so as you might have already guessed, I suffered...quite a bit, though in my opinion, not as much as Yingxu did. (me - tongue burned, ear hurt...)
Anyway, the coolest part of the outing was when we were in the way back on the LRT.
You see, there were these two french guys talking to each other in french. Since Shrek knows a little French, I mouthed "What are they saying?" to him, expecting him to be the translator, but he mouthed back "I don't know..."
Oh well... I thought.
Suddenly, Shrek sits down beside the french guy. I thought he was probably tired and wanted to rest. THEN, he turns and starts talking to the french guy in FRENCH!!! WOW! The french guy was so surprised and so were we. (I wouldn't have done that...) Since I know almost no french, I didn't know what they were saying. (Please visit Caleb's blog to know what was said - there's a funny part at the end, don't miss it!)
The french guy however did ask us (Darell, me and Flo) if we spoke french (in english). We shook our heads... obviously. Sorry... SORRY! I DON"T KNOW FRENCH!!!
Wow Shrek. I'm STILL in awe. That was so brave, so bold, so daring! A salute to you! haha..!!

"What? The whole point of coming here is to..."
So, we ordered hot instead... Darell also managed to convince Shrek to order "Extra Hot peri-peri". She said it wasn't spicy and we trusted her...Poor Shrek! He ate till his face turned all red!! Like he was going to cry!! Darell herself had the "Extra Hot peri-peri" and Yingxu got the same as Flo and I.
